Shown here is front is the four adopted children (left to right), Paige, Carter, Tyler and Ashton, and in back: (L-R) Clinton, Brian, Mattie, Mackenzie and Bridget. Speaking on behalf of the family, Bridget Lawyer spoke of how she and her husband always wanted to adopt children after they had they had children of their own. They worked with the Foster Parent Program and in 2014 they were asked if they would care for 4 children ages 1 thru 8. The family all agreed to do so and in December of 2014 the children moved in. Bridget related there is the normal ups and downs like any family but they seem to be able to work through all the problems of the new additions to the family. On Sept. 19, 2016 the Lawyer were finally able to adopt the four children. “We still have a few rough patches, but they just fit right into our family. God has worked in each of us and if we had not followed his lead we would have missed out on so many blessings! As excited as we are that they are part of our family, I do have to say this was not God's first choice for these kids. His first choice was a loving home with their biological parents. I know their mother loved them and we are so glad she chose to have them as opposed to having an abortion."
